Easter Sunday reminded us of something astonishing from Mark 16:1-8: the greatest obstacle we could never move has already been rolled away.

The women came to the tomb with broken hearts and heavy questions—chief among them:
“Who will roll away the stone for us?”

It was a practical concern, but also a deeply symbolic one. That stone represented more than just a physical barrier. It stood for the overwhelming weight of sin, the finality of death, the hopelessness of loss—and the helplessness we all feel in the face of it.

But when they looked up, they saw something they never expected:
“The stone had been rolled away.”

The resurrection of Jesus is God’s resounding answer to humanity’s greatest dilemmas, sin and death chief among them. He didn’t just raise His Son from the grave—He shattered the power of sin, crushed the finality of death, and opened the way for us to be restored. Every “stone” we face has been rolled away by the power of amazing grace.

And did you notice those gentle, grace-filled words from the angel?
“Go, tell His disciples—and Peter…”

Jesus wanted Peter to know that his failure didn’t disqualify him. That the risen Savior still claimed him. That forgiveness and restoration were not just possible—they were already underway.

That same grace is for you. Whether you come with failure like Peter or fear like the women, the risen Christ meets you with mercy. The stone is gone. The tomb is empty. And Jesus lives.

So let this week be marked by resurrection hope. Let your fears be shaped by the power of a risen King. Let your failures be swallowed up in grace. Let your worship reflect the joy of an empty tomb. And as you go, let the love of the risen Christ compel you to “love more and more”—loving God with a full heart, and loving others with the same grace that first found you.

God has rolled the stone away! “He is not here. He is risen.” And everything has changed.
